Absolutely! We’re crazy about Ghent and about good food and drinks in our cozy city!

Looking for a tasty bite in our neighborhood? You can head to Zuru Zuru for delicious, Japanese-style ramen. For a good brasserie, check out Café Parti on the square in front of the railway station. And if you’re in the mood for fine dining, Kruidtuin and Jan Van den Bon are absolute must-tries.

There are so many great spots throughout the city that it’s impossible to list them all here. That’s why we’ve made a Google Maps list — super handy when you’re walking around town and want to quickly check if there’s something nearby.

We work without reservations for the afterworks, everyone is welcome from 4pm.

Would you like to visit with a group of colleagues? For groups with at least 10 people, we are happy to keep a table free until 5pm. Give us a call at info@alix.gent!

Online brunch reservations can be made from 6 weeks in advance (sometimes earlier for special dates/parties). You cannot click on a date if the reservations are not yet open or if we are closed on that day (e.g. holiday or exceptional closing day on which there is no brunch).

If online booking is possible, but the reservation system does not find a place for you, you can register on the waiting list. The system will notify us so that we can manually check for you to see if there might still be a place. If there is, we will call you as soon as possible!

Most of our brunch is vegetarian. As meat, we only serve fried bacon (optional with the scrambled eggs) and baked and Italian ham. But even if you eat vegan, we are happy to make sure you can enjoy our brunch. Just mention it with your reservation, and we’ll make sure there are plant-based milk and yogurt for you, among other things, and that you won’t be short of anything!

Baby on the way? Even in that case, you can enjoy our brunch buffet without worries: there is a wide selection of pregnancy-safe treats. All the dairy we use during brunch is pasteurized. All vegetables are thoroughly rinsed and there are also prepared (non-raw) vegetables. Only the smoked salmon might be best left out.

Alix is within walking distance of the Gent-Sint-Pieters train station, making it easily accessible by both bus/tram and train.

Bikes can be placed in the bike shed on our property.

The nearest public parking is the B-parking of station, it is less than a 10-minute walk from Alix.
You can also park on the street (paid parking 9am-7pm, about €1.8/hour, yellow parking zone). Use the on-street parking meters, or a parking app such as 4411 or EasyPark. Pay attention to parking signs and resident spaces.
Alix is outside the low-emission zone.

Alix is in the center of Ghent in a densely populated neighborhood. Since most of our party’s take place in our garden, we therefore have to finish at around 10 pm. Still feel like continuing the party on a dance floor afterwards? We are happy to share our tips with you!

From about mid-May till about the end of September, we host our brunch outside in our garden and on our terrace. The rest of the year we welcome you inside on the two floors of our cozy mansion. If you want to be sure in advance whether there will be brunch inside or outside, feel free to ask before your concrete date.

That depends on a lot of choices. Will you reserve the large garden location, or a cozy spot in our mansion? Are you planning a summer party or opting for the coziness of winter? Would you like brunch or would you prefer a party with an elaborate reception and walking dinner?

For the space or location, you pay a fixed cost. In addition, you pay a price per person for the food and drinks, based on an offer that you put together.
