Our charming coach house offers three guest rooms overlooking the garden, an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Ghent’s Arts Quarter. You get a friendly welcome, sleep on a good bed, dry yourself with a luxurious towel after showering with (h)honest products and have a delicious and good breakfast. Tip: on Saturday and Sunday especially take advantage of the brunch, which is fantastic. The room adjoins a beautiful courtyard garden so you can sleep undisturbed.

When do you serve breakfast at the B&B?

You can book a room with or without breakfast.

From Monday to Saturday, breakfast is served in the cozy dining area of the B&B. We offer a hearty start to your day, with bread and spreads, yogurt with granola and fresh fruit, an egg, a pastry, a glass of local apple juice, and filter coffee or tea.

Breakfast is available between 8:00 and 10:00 AM. We kindly ask you to let us know the day before what time you’d like to have breakfast.

On Sundays, breakfast is not served at the B&B. Instead, we welcome you for brunch at our restaurant or in the garden (except during closing periods of the brunch restaurant). The brunch features an extensive buffet, including breakfast items, various salads and vegetable dishes, and a dessert. Brunch is served from 10:00 AM.

If you’ve booked a room with breakfast included, the Sunday brunch (or Saturday brunch, if available) is included in the price. If you didn’t book breakfast with your room, you can always add it the day before (€19.70 per person for breakfast / €38 per person for brunch).

What means of payment do you accept?

We accept all common bank cards with Bancontact and Maestro, as well as Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

You can also pay with Payconiq at Alix.

Cash only creates risk, and it’s not hygienic either. So leave those bills in the bank. It’s safer for you and for us.

Do you have any tips for eating and drinking in Ghent?

For sure and for sure: we love Ghent as well as good food and drink in our cozy city!

Looking for a tasty bite in our neighborhood? Then you can go to Zuru Zuru for delicious ramen, all Japanese style. The better brasserie can be found on the square in front of St. Peter’s Station, at Café Parti. And if you like gastronomic dining, Kruidtuin and Jan van den Bon are absolutely recommended.

In the rest of the city there are so many nice places, it is too much to list them all here. We have therefore made a list in Google Maps, which is just as handy when you are walking in the city and want to see if there is something nearby where you can go.

I have allergies, can I come to you?

Certainly, we want everyone to be happy! Mention your dietary requirements when making your reservation and we will make sure you won’t be short of anything!

Where can I park?

Alix is within walking distance of the Gent-Sint-Pieters train station, making it easily accessible by both bus/tram and train.

Bikes can be placed in the bike shed on our property.

The closest public parking is the B parking of station, it is less than a 10-minute walk from Alix. Use navigation (Waze/Google Maps) to enter the parking lot (via Valentin Vaerwyckweg/R4 or Sint-Denijslaan).

You can also park on the street (pay parking 9am-7pm, about €2.2/hour, yellow parking zone, free on Sundays). Use the on-street parking meters, or a parking app such as 4411 or EasyPark. Pay attention to parking signs and resident spaces.
Alix is outside the low-emission zone.

Do you have bikes for rent?

We don’t have any bicycles ourselves, but you can go to De Fietsambassade. At the Gent-Sint-Pieters station, and therefore within walking distance of Alix.
